Download this flyer for soil sampling instructions. 2008 Kanoe the Kazoo on Hart’s LakeOn August 9, 2008, the Calhoun Conservation District and the Battle Creek Clean Water Partners will host a Kanoe the Kazoo canoeing event on Hart’s Lake. Please call the Calhoun Conservation District, 269-781-4867 to register. The first 50 to register will not be charged a three dollar fee. 2008 Global Citizens' River Conservation DayKeep Saturday, October 4, 2008 open for this year’s Global Citizens’ River Conservation Day, which has grown into the first ever watershed-wide citizen cleanup of the Kalamazoo River and its tributaries. Growing out of the successful cleanup program conducted in the Battle Creek and Marshall areas the last few years, it is part of an international cleanup event stemming from the city of Battle Creek’s sister city relationship. Anyone from kids to the elderly can get involved. Get your Civic Club, Scout group, or church organization on board! Whole schools or individual classes are welcome!
